Prof. Jonas Akpanglo-Nartey has been appointed Vice-President, Academic Affairs, of the University College. By this appointment, Prof. Akpanglo-Nartey assumes responsibility for the smooth running of all academic activities in the university college as well as supervising the operations of the deans of the various schools. Prof. Apkanglo-Nartey was appointed the substantive Vice President (Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Management) on 2nd January, last year, and acting Provost in March the same year.
He served as the first Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) from December 2003 to 2006. In that capacity, he acted for a number of short periods as Vice-Chancellor of the University. Prof. Akpanglo-Nartey also served as Director of the Quality Assurance Unit as well as Dean of the Faculty of Languages Education in the same University. He similarly served as the Co-ordinator of the External Funds Office (EFO) and Head of the Department of Applied Linguistics, which he had himself established at the same (UEW).
