Dr. Stephen O. Agyei-Mensah, an associate Professor of Computer Information Science at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, USA, has since March 8, 2012 been taking the Regent-Ghana MBA students through Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation, a specialized course in the Regent Maastricht AMBA-accredited MBA programme.
Dr. Agyei-Mensah, who is also an information technology consultant in the states of Maryland and Pennsylvania, USA, will end the series of lectures on Friday, March 16, 2012.
He holds a B.Sc. in Administration, with a major in accounting, from the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana. He also holds an MBA, with options in Operations Management and Management Accounting, from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Dr. Agyei –Mensah further holds a MS in Applied Computer Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Maryland, USA, as well as a Doctor of Education degree, with emphasis on Computer Applications in Business, from the Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma, USA.
Dr. Agyei-Mensah also holds professional Information Technology certifications from the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) in A+, Network+, Security+ and Project+. He is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and a Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA).
He has taught in several countries and in US territories as a Junior High School business teacher, a High School accounting teacher, a High School vice- principal, a two-year college instructor, and a university professor and researcher. He has been a consultant to many local small businesses implementing computer application programmes and systems for business operations. He was Manager for Information Technology Operations at Verizon Micronesia/Pacifica, subsidiaries of Verizon Communications, Inc., a major telecommunications services provider in the US and a Fortune 500 company.
Dr. Agyei-Mensah’s scholarly activities include research in Information Technology, publications in professional and refereed journals, and presentations at international conferences. His areas of research interest include managing Information Technology, Information Technology Project Management, Computer Networking, Data Communications, Information Systems Security and capacity building in Africa.
