This year's Private Universities' Sports Association of Ghana (PUSpAG) games organized under the auspices of the Conference of Heads of Private Universities, Ghana (CHPUG) took place at Prempeh College, Kumasi on Friday, July 1, 2011.
The Games, which is organized yearly for staff/worker of private universities, brought together at least 14 private universities from across the country to compete in this year's games in which had three (3) trophies at stake.
The Regent University College's volleyball teams were simply unbeatable on the day. The men's team successfully defended the trophy when they trashed Pentecost University College 3-0 in the final. The women's volleyball team also thumped Valley View University ladies 2-0 in the final to become the new champions. The ladies volleyball title was previously held by Central University College.
The football team, having beaten Datalink University College and Garden City University College, made it to the semi-final where they lost 1-0 to Ghana Baptist University College.
The teams coach, Michael Ansah Mantey, expressed his delight about the alacrity demonstrated by his teams which won 2 out of the 3 trophies at stake and believes with training and motivation we could do even better.
