Regent-Ghana announces the appointment of Mr. Ishmael Mintah as the new Marketing and Public Affairs Manager, which takes effect from April 2013. He takes over from Ms. Nancy Ansah who has been acting as Public Affairs Manager. She will continue to serve as the Deputy Registrar, at the Office of the President and Founder.
In his new position, he will be responsible for planning and executing Media and Public relations programs to convey the University’s positions on issues and to organize and promote events and ceremonies sponsored by the university, amongst other duties assigned to him by the President. As the Marketing Manager of the university he will oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional activities of Regent-Ghana, as well as develop and maintain strategies to meet organizational objectives. To this effect, he will be working with Ms. Harriet Essel, a Marketing Executive of the university.
Ishmael most recently served as a Research Assistant at the North Carolina A & T State University, Greensboro, North Carolina, US, where he provided both administrative and technical support to research projects. He has also served as an Insurance Agent with Bankers Life and Casualty also based in North Carolina. In the area of social work, he has participated in mission trips to Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya, working with children infected with HIV, orphans and at risk children. He has also served as a soccer coach to the Matthews Soccer Club, charlotte United “futbul” Club, Greensboro Youth Soccer Association, and a Youth Motivational Speaker at Carolina International School, Harrisburg, North Carolina.
Mr. Ishmael Mintah earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing Major) from Creighton University, Omaha, in 2001 and a Master’s degree in Applied Economics in 2011. He has served as an adjunct professor at the North Carolina A &T State University, North Carolina, US. He has won a number of awards such as “Rookie Agent of the Month March 2008” and “Successful New Agent” award.
He is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, the Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society of Agriculture, and a Wadaran Latamore Kennedy 4.0 GPA Scholar.
