Two Regent students have each been awarded with a full tuition scholarship to participate in this year’s King's College London Summer School programme in London.
The students, Lennox Ashie Kotei (Management with Computing) and Kwasi Darko Ansong (Accounting with Information Systems), were among 12 scholarship awardees selected from around the world who will receive £2,300 each in scholarships, to enroll in the summer school programme.
The scholarships, which are being offered by the King's College London Summer Programmes office, are designed to offer assistance to “outstanding candidates” who could benefit from attending the summer school.
The 2013 recipients were selected in May after applying for the awards. Applications were assessed based on a combination of a cummulative high university grade and a supporting essay.
In addition to the scholarships, recipients would be taking part in promotional activities to promote the scholarship scheme and the Summer School.
Lennox Ashie Kotei and Kwasi Darko Ansong would be joining other top students from over 90 countries at this year’s KCL Summer Programme, scheduled to take place from July 1 – August 9 at the Strand/Waterloo Campuses of King's College London.
Commenting on winning the scholarship, Lennox Ashie said “I am very excited about the scholarship. Apart from being exposed to a different learning environment, I am particularly delighted about the opportunity of meeting colleagues from around the world at the Summer School”.
“I’m looking forward to taking full advantage of the opportunities that I would be exposed to.” said Kwesi Darko Ansong.
