Entrepreneurship is the buzz word on campus as the current student council administration has launched an entrepreneurship competition where students stand a chance to win a grand prize of GHS3000, 2nd place GHS2000 and the 3rd prize of GHS1000. The competition is open to any registered Regent University Student with a great business idea that is well presented and you may just be the lucky one that walks away with 3000 Ghana Cedis.
“The entrepreneurship initiative was inspired by the unemployment rate in Ghana” says Jude Eastwood the 2013/2014 Speaker of Parliament. The administration wants students to dream big and work hard to overcome all challenges because it is all possible. Jude says that “if the dream is in your mind we want to challenge you to put it on paper and present it to our panel of competent judges who will comprise of corporate Ghana.”
This great initiative has been welcomed with a huge applause as it is not only affording students an avenue to pursue their dreams but the participants will also be mentored. Regent University and the student council want to encourage students to put their heads together and be the change they want to see in Ghana.
