Nancy Ansah

Ms. Nancy Ansah started her primary education in her hometown, Larteh, a mountainous town in the Eastern Region of Ghana. She sat for her O'levels at Benkum Secondary School, her sixth form at Aburi Girls School. In 2001, she graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon with BA in English and Russian Languages and in 2004 obtained MPhil in International Affairs from the Legon Centre for International Affairs, where her research focused on African Feminism and the Sex Trade. In September 2010, Nancy graduated from the Regent University College of Science and Technology, Ghana, and the Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands with an MBA in Management and Information Systems (MIS). She is currently pursuing her PhD in Sociological Studies at the University of Sheffield, UK.

Ms. Nancy Ansah is a seasoned advocate and a conference speaker on women/gender issues, HIV & AIDS, communication and facilitation skills. Nancy  founded Mending Lives Foundation, an NGO working with deprived women and children, and  Nancy has also served as a resource person for many training programmes in the areas of gender, HIV with participants being men, women and young people.

The Registry provides the following services to the entire university community:

 

Correspondence Services

The Registry deals with varied correspondence for and on behalf of the staff and students.  A lot of these correspondences have to do with introductory, testimonial and undertaking letters for the purposes of opening bank accounts, admissions to universities abroad, employers for jobs, loan facility, passports and visas.  As a rule, such letters are issued after clearance from the Finance/Business Office that the student does not owe fees for the current semester. 

 

Introductory Letters/Attestation/Transcript

For students and alumni to receive various services, student/alumni should complete a request form (download a request form), clear self with the accounts office and attach the original receipt of payment for the service, and submit to the Registry.

Cancellation of Registration/Deferment of Courses:

Students who wish to cancel registration [defer their courses] must do so in writing to the registrar’s office. Before deferment is approved, they must:

  1. Pay any outstanding fees; return any books to the Library and pay any  outstanding fines;
  2. Return any laboratory equipment in their possession.
  3. Fill deferment form

 

Collection of Certificates

The Registry is the office to collect certificates. To collect the certificate, alumni must have satisfied the following requirements:

  1. Should have zero (0) balance on their account from the Accounts Office.
  2. Should have paid the Graduation Fee.
  3. Should have submitted the gown and scroll if they attended the graduation.
  4. Should have submitted soft and hard copies of the dissertation. 

Certificates are collected between 3:00pm-5:00 pm daily except on Fridays. On Fridays, certificates are collected between 10:00am-5:00pm.

 

Official Vehicle & Hall Request

Request for vehicle and room/hall use are channeled through the Registry. University community members and the external public with such request should write a letter of request and submit it to the Registrar’s office.
