1. Job role: Assistant Librarian

 

Introduction

Regent University College of Science and Technology, Accra is a dynamic and rapidly expanding private university in Ghana.  It is ranked amongst the first top ten Universities in Ghana.

The Library is seeking to appoint an Assistant Librarian to manage its Roquah Campus Library located at Lartebiokorshie in Accra. The campus is relocating to the permanent University site at McCarthy Hill and would require the services of an experienced and hardworking Assistant Librarian to assist with the movement.

 

Experience

The candidate is expected to have at least 2 years working experience of managing customer services in an academic library environment, and must demonstrate ability to use his/her professional knowledge to support teaching, learning and research in the University.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Information Studies, Information Management or Librarianship.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to our development efforts in library services improvement.
  • Proactive and self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills are required.
