About the Prof. Samuel Lartey
Prof. Lartey is a full professor in finance and information technology systems. He holds a PhD in Financial Management, an MBA in Management Information Systems, and a Degree in Social Science (Political Science and Philosophy).
He is a Chartered Financial Manager, Chartered Cybersecurity Specialist. He is also a Chartered Project Engineer and a Council Member of the European Institute of Financial Directors.
Samuel Lartey is an educationist, academician, banker, and a trained researcher. He is also an information technology, artificial intelligence, and financial information expert.
He has consulted for a number of multinationals and international organizations, such as the German International Cooperation (GIZ), International Labour Organisation (ILO), United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), and USAID, among others, on various initiatives and programs for sustainable development, digital financial services, reintegration of migrants, and financial inclusion and development.
Prof. Samuel Lartey has developed various academic curricula, syllabi, learning materials, and other professional educational programs for many globally accredited universities, professional institutions, and colleges. He is a specialist in corporate culture, personal mentoring, executive profiling, and facilitation of learning and development programs for various professional and academic institutions.
Prior to his appointment as Vice President, Samuel served as the Executive Head of Research, Business Intelligence, Market Conduct, and Media at Ghana Association of Banks. He also served as the Head of Research and Consultancy at the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
Samuel has a number of academic and professional publications to his credit in several high-ranked peer-reviewed journals, corporate and institutional newsletters, and newspapers.
Samuel previously worked with UPSA, served as the Head of the Accounting and Finance Department at Regent, and was subsequently appointed as a member of the University Council.
“I am profoundly honored to join the Regent University College of Science and Technology as the Vice President,” shares Prof. Lartey.
