Regent University College Alumnus Wins Prestigious Research Award

Regent University College alumnus, Isaiah Adegoke ('15), has been awarded the 2024 King-Mertz Research/Creative Activity Award at Eastern Illinois University (EIU) Graduate School in Charleston, Illinois.

Isaiah received the award for his outstanding research on 'The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Enhancing Corporate Sustainability,' presented at the EIU Graduate Research Exhibition.

The King-Mertz Graduate Research Creativity Award is a highly competitive honour recognizing the most innovative and impactful research by EIU graduate students.

His paper, exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and corporate sustainability, was praised by the selection committee for its depth, originality, and practical implications.

Isaiah's impressive academic journey includes notable achievements such as the Graduate Research Creativity Grant, the William Webber Study Abroad Scholarship, and the Outstanding International Student award from Nanjing University of Information, Science and Technology (NUIST), China.

Currently, Isaiah is pursuing a Dual Master of Science in Technology and Sustainability degree at EIU Graduate School, where he serves as Associate Resident Director of Research and Marketing. Additionally, he is simultaneously pursuing a PhD in Business Administration in China.

Responding to the award, Isaiah said:

As a global citizen, I am passionate about exploring how emerging technologies like AI can be leveraged to address pressing sustainability challenges. This recognition validates the significance of my research and motivates me to continue making meaningful contributions to the field."
